I wasn’t expecting much from a replacement prop, but – for my 2007 75HP Yamaha really impressed me. It’s quiet, smooth, and more responsive.

This is not a Flo-Torq prop like the Mercury OEM, and has a slightly different offset. Used without a thrust washer, it would rub and bind, and re-using the front thrust washer for the stock prop put it about 3/16 inch further back than the stock prop. That said, it is the correct pitch for my motor, and allowed me to reach full revs and gave me 3-4 more MPH. Still trying to figure out if there is a thrust washer that puts this prop in the correct spacing.

When I first got the prop, it worked great on the LH Propeller, 8814-140-21. Smooth ride with very little vibration. But the first sandbar and it folded up. A prop shouldn’t bend that easy. I’ve hit stumps in the past with no damage like this. You get what you pay for, I guess. (Update: Got a second one. It cracked first trip out. Didn’t hit anything but the sand at the boat landing. Was able to bend it with pliers. Don’t waste your money – not durable.)
